Customer Reviews

I have no idea why people are buying and reviewing the other (non gyro) version of this chopper. My son and I spent about an hour going over the reviews and details of all the Chinook models before buying this one.
Fantastic. It really is that good.
We have been building and flying electric RC models for years, an international move saw us get out of it for many years, finally, the itch came back, but we wanted something small and fun.
The experience we had with bigger choppers was to fly anything with out a gyro was doable, but a lot of work, we just wanted to have fun, so we made sure that we went with a gyro model this time.
This chopper fits the bill in every way. Its small enough to fly even in the smallest apartments, and the gyro is why you can get away with it.
The steering is rock solid. I want to make a video of this chopper in action soon, the turns can be so precise that with a little practice, you can fly square circuits with no trouble.
Having both forward and backward trim and yaw (left to right) trim means that you can set this chopper up for hands free flying. (Note, the throttle has a spring on it, always returning it to zero. After about an hour flying, my son and I opened up the controller and removed the spring, unless you are good at electronics, do not try and do the same thing yourself).
The twin roters give lots of power, and there is surprisingly little lag between putting power on or off and the chopper changing attitude.
With the gyro lock its a cinch to change from flying forward to backward in the same line!
7-8 minute flight time. USB charging cord, so the transmitter batteries are lasing a long time.
My son is 16, and I am 45. This chopper is keeping us both more than amused for some weeks now.
Gyro lock for the win!

This blows away the little havoc helis you get at wal mart. Hardly needed any trim, and the controls are responsive with very little lag. The usb charging cable is a HUGE bonus, saving up on batteries for the controller. If you want a tiny copter, this one is a perfect start.
